The primary purpose of the board is to advise the Uintah County Commission on matters pertaining to Uintah County Historic Preservation and the Museum of Uintah County. Under the Historic Preservation umbrella, the board adheres to the rules and guidelines established by the Utah State Historic Preservation Office (USHPO). More information can be found on their website. Under the Museum of Uintah County (MUC) umbrella, the board advises the museum on policy.
